20.121
فَأَكَلَا مِنْهَا فَبَدَتْ لَهُمَا سَوْءَٰتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفَانِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِن وَرَقِ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۚ وَعَصَىٰٓ ءَادَمُ رَبَّهُۥ فَغَوَىٰ
English: Sahih International
And Adam and his wife ate of it, and their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And Adam disobeyed his Lord and erred.
English: Transliteration
Faakala minha fabadat lahuma sawatuhuma watafiqa yakhsifani AAalayhima min waraqi aljannati waAAasa adamu rabbahu faghawa
French: Hamidullah
Tous deux (Adam et Eve) en mangèrent. Alors leur apparut leur nudité. Ils se mirent à se couvrir avec des feuilles du paradis. Adam désobéit ainsi à son Seigneur et il s'égara.
20.122
ثُمَّ ٱجْتَبَٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ وَهَدَىٰ
English: Sahih International
Then his Lord chose him and turned to him in forgiveness and guided [him].
English: Transliteration
Thumma ijtabahu rabbuhu fataba AAalayhi wahada
French: Hamidullah
Son Seigneur l'a ensuite élu, agréé son repentir et l'a guidé.
20.123
قَالَ ٱهْبِطَا مِنْهَا جَمِيعًۢا ۖ بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ ۖ فَإِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُم مِّنِّى هُدًى فَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ هُدَاىَ فَلَا يَضِلُّ وَلَا يَشْقَىٰ
English: Sahih International
[Allah] said, "Descend from Paradise - all, [your descendants] being enemies to one another. And if there should come to you guidance from Me - then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray [in the world] nor suffer [in the Hereafter].
English: Transliteration
Qala ihbita minha jameeAAan baAAdukum libaAAdin AAaduwwun faimma yatiyannakum minnee hudan famani ittabaAAa hudaya fala yadillu wala yashqa
French: Hamidullah
Il dit: «Descendez d'ici, (Adam et Eve), [Vous serez] tous (avec vos descendants) ennemis les uns des autres. Puis, si jamais un guide vous vient de Ma part, quiconque suit Mon guide ne s'égarera ni ne sera malheureux.
20.124
وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِى فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكًا وَنَحْشُرُهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ أَعْمَىٰ
English: Sahih International
And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind."
English: Transliteration
Waman aAArada AAan thikree fainna lahu maAAeeshatan dankan wanahshuruhu yawma alqiyamati aAAman
French: Hamidullah
Et quiconque se détourne de Mon Rappel, mènera certes, une vie pleine de gêne, et le Jour de la Résurrection Nous l'amènerons aveugle au rassemblement».
20.125
قَالَ رَبِّ لِمَ حَشَرْتَنِىٓ أَعْمَىٰ وَقَدْ كُنتُ بَصِيرًا
English: Sahih International
He will say, "My Lord, why have you raised me blind while I was [once] seeing?"
English: Transliteration
Qala rabbi lima hashartanee aAAma waqad kuntu baseeran
French: Hamidullah
Il dira: «O mon Seigneur, pourquoi m'as-Tu amené aveugle alors qu'auparavant je voyais?»
20.126
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ أَتَتْكَ ءَايَٰتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَا ۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ تُنسَىٰ
English: Sahih International
[Allah] will say, "Thus did Our signs come to you, and you forgot them; and thus will you this Day be forgotten."
English: Transliteration
Qala kathalika atatka ayatuna fanaseetaha wakathalika alyawma tunsa
French: Hamidullah
[Allah lui] dira: «De même que Nos Signes (enseignements) t'étaient venus et que tu les as oubliés, ainsi aujourd'hui tu es oublié».
20.127
وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى مَنْ أَسْرَفَ وَلَمْ يُؤْمِنۢ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِۦ ۚ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَشَدُّ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
English: Sahih International
And thus do We recompense he who transgressed and did not believe in the signs of his Lord. And the punishment of the Hereafter is more severe and more enduring.
English: Transliteration
Wakathalika najzee man asrafa walam yumin biayati rabbihi walaAAathabu alakhirati ashaddu waabqa
French: Hamidullah
Ainsi sanctionnons-nous l'outrancier qui ne croit pas aux révélations de son Seigneur. Et certes, le châtiment de l'au-delà est plus sévère et plus durable.
20.128
أَفَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِى مَسَٰكِنِهِمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّأُو۟لِى ٱلنُّهَىٰ
English: Sahih International
Then, has it not become clear to them how many generations We destroyed before them as they walk among their dwellings? Indeed in that are signs for those of intelligence.
English: Transliteration
Afalam yahdi lahum kam ahlakna qablahum mina alqurooni yamshoona fee masakinihim inna fee thalika laayatin liolee alnnuha
French: Hamidullah
Cela ne leur a-t-il pas servi de direction, que Nous ayons fait périr avant eux tant de générations dans les demeures desquelles ils marchent maintenant? Voilà bien là des leçons pour les doués d'intelligence!
20.129
وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَكَانَ لِزَامًا وَأَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى
English: Sahih International
And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord, punishment would have been an obligation [due immediately], and [if not for] a specified term [decreed].
English: Transliteration
Walawla kalimatun sabaqat min rabbika lakana lizaman waajalun musamman
French: Hamidullah
N'eussent-été un décret préalable de ton Seigneur et aussi un terme déjà fixé, (leur châtiment) aurait été inévitable (et immédiat).
20.130
فَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا ۖ وَمِنْ ءَانَآئِ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْ وَأَطْرَافَ ٱلنَّهَارِ لَعَلَّكَ تَرْضَىٰ
English: Sahih International
So be patient over what they say and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting; and during periods of the night [exalt Him] and at the ends of the day, that you may be satisfied.
English: Transliteration
Faisbir AAala ma yaqooloona wasabbih bihamdi rabbika qabla tulooAAi alshshamsi waqabla ghuroobiha wamin anai allayli fasabbih waatrafa alnnahari laAAallaka tarda
French: Hamidullah
Supporte patiemment ce qu'ils disent et célèbre Sa louange, avant le lever du soleil, avant son coucher et pendant la nuit; et exalte Sa Gloire aux extrémités du jour. Peut-être auras-tu satisfaction:
