Sura 22 - الحج (Al-Hajj) - The Pilgrimage

22.21
وَلَهُم مَّقَٰمِعُ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ
English: Sahih International
And for [striking] them are maces of iron.
English: Transliteration
Walahum maqamiAAu min hadeedin
French: Hamidullah
Et il y aura pour eux des maillets de fer.
22.22
كُلَّمَآ أَرَادُوٓا۟ أَن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا مِنْ غَمٍّ أُعِيدُوا۟ فِيهَا وَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلْحَرِيقِ
English: Sahih International
Every time they want to get out of Hellfire from anguish, they will be returned to it, and [it will be said], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire!"
English: Transliteration
Kullama aradoo an yakhrujoo minha min ghammin oAAeedoo feeha wathooqoo AAathaba alhareeqi
French: Hamidullah
Toutes les fois qu'ils voudront en sortir (pour échapper) à la détresse, on les y remettra et (on leur dira): «Goûtez au châtiment de la Fournaise.
22.23
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ذَهَبٍ وَلُؤْلُؤًا ۖ وَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيهَا حَرِيرٌ
English: Sahih International
Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearl, and their garments therein will be silk.
English: Transliteration
Inna Allaha yudkhilu allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu yuhallawna feeha min asawira min thahabin waluluan walibasuhum feeha hareerun
French: Hamidullah
Certes Allah introduit ceux qui croient et font de bonnes œuvres aux Jardins sous lesquels coulent les ruisseaux. Là, ils seront parés de bracelets d'or, et aussi de perles; et leurs vêtements y seront de soie.
22.24
وَهُدُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلطَّيِّبِ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ وَهُدُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ
English: Sahih International
And they had been guided [in worldly life] to good speech, and they were guided to the path of the Praiseworthy.
English: Transliteration
Wahudoo ila alttayyibi mina alqawli wahudoo ila sirati alhameedi
French: Hamidullah
Ils ont été guidés vers la bonne parole et ils ont été guidés vers le chemin Du Digne des louanges.
22.25
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلْنَٰهُ لِلنَّاسِ سَوَآءً ٱلْعَٰكِفُ فِيهِ وَٱلْبَادِ ۚ وَمَن يُرِدْ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍۭ بِظُلْمٍ نُّذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
English: Sahih International
Indeed, those who have disbelieved and avert [people] from the way of Allah and [from] al-Masjid al-Haram, which We made for the people - equal are the resident therein and one from outside; and [also] whoever intends [a deed] therein of deviation [in religion] or wrongdoing - We will make him taste of a painful punishment.
English: Transliteration
Inna allatheena kafaroo wayasuddoona AAan sabeeli Allahi waalmasjidi alharami allathee jaAAalnahu lilnnasi sawaan alAAakifu feehi waalbadi waman yurid feehi biilhadin bithulmin nuthiqhu min AAathabin aleemin
French: Hamidullah
Mais ceux qui mécroient et qui obstruent le sentier d'Allah et celui de la Mosquée sacrée, que Nous avons établie pour les gens: aussi bien les résidents que ceux de passage... Quiconque cherche à y commettre un sacrilège injustement, Nous lui ferons goûter un châtiment douloureux,
22.26
وَإِذْ بَوَّأْنَا لِإِبْرَٰهِيمَ مَكَانَ ٱلْبَيْتِ أَن لَّا تُشْرِكْ بِى شَيْـًٔا وَطَهِّرْ بَيْتِىَ لِلطَّآئِفِينَ وَٱلْقَآئِمِينَ وَٱلرُّكَّعِ ٱلسُّجُودِ
English: Sahih International
And [mention, O Muhammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House, [saying], "Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate.
English: Transliteration
Waith bawwana liibraheema makana albayti an la tushrik bee shayan watahhir baytiya lilttaifeena waalqaimeena waalrrukkaAAi alssujoodi
French: Hamidullah
Et quand Nous indiquâmes pour Abraham le lieu de la Maison (La Kaaba) [en lui disant]: «Ne M'associe rien; et purifie Ma Maison pour ceux qui tournent autour, pour ceux qui s'y tiennent debout et pour ceux qui s'y inclinent et se prosternent».
22.27
وَأَذِّن فِى ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلْحَجِّ يَأْتُوكَ رِجَالًا وَعَلَىٰ كُلِّ ضَامِرٍ يَأْتِينَ مِن كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍ
English: Sahih International
And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass -
English: Transliteration
Waaththin fee alnnasi bialhajji yatooka rijalan waAAala kulli damirin yateena min kulli fajjin AAameeqin
French: Hamidullah
Et fais aux gens une annonce pour le Hajj. Ils viendront vers toi, à pied, et aussi sur toute monture, venant de tout chemin éloigné,
22.28
لِّيَشْهَدُوا۟ مَنَٰفِعَ لَهُمْ وَيَذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ فِىٓ أَيَّامٍ مَّعْلُومَٰتٍ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّنۢ بَهِيمَةِ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ ۖ فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا۟ ٱلْبَآئِسَ ٱلْفَقِيرَ
English: Sahih International
That they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah on known days over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. So eat of them and feed the miserable and poor.
English: Transliteration
Liyashhadoo manafiAAa lahum wayathkuroo isma Allahi fee ayyamin maAAloomatin AAala ma razaqahum min baheemati alanAAami fakuloo minha waatAAimoo albaisa alfaqeera
French: Hamidullah
pour participer aux avantages qui leur ont été accordés et pour invoquer le nom d'Allah aux jours fixés, sur la bête de cheptel qu'Il leur a attribuée, «Mangez-en vous-mêmes et faites-en manger le besogneux misérable.
22.29
ثُمَّ لْيَقْضُوا۟ تَفَثَهُمْ وَلْيُوفُوا۟ نُذُورَهُمْ وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا۟ بِٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْعَتِيقِ
English: Sahih International
Then let them end their untidiness and fulfill their vows and perform Tawaf around the ancient House."
English: Transliteration
Thumma lyaqdoo tafathahum walyoofoo nuthoorahum walyattawwafoo bialbayti alAAateeqi
French: Hamidullah
Puis qu'ils mettent fin à leurs interdits (qu'ils nettoient leurs corps), qu'ils remplissent leurs vœux, et qu'ils fassent les circuits autour de l'Antique Maison».
22.30
ذَٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ حُرُمَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ ۗ وَأُحِلَّتْ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمُ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ ٱلرِّجْسَ مِنَ ٱلْأَوْثَٰنِ وَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ قَوْلَ ٱلزُّورِ
English: Sahih International
That [has been commanded], and whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah - it is best for him in the sight of his Lord. And permitted to you are the grazing livestock, except what is recited to you. So avoid the uncleanliness of idols and avoid false statement,
English: Transliteration
Thalika waman yuAAaththim hurumati Allahi fahuwa khayrun lahu AAinda rabbihi waohillat lakumu alanAAamu illa ma yutla AAalaykum faijtaniboo alrrijsa mina alawthani waijtaniboo qawla alzzoori
French: Hamidullah
Voilà [ce qui doit être observé] et quiconque prend en haute considération les limites sacrées d'Allah cela lui sera meilleur auprès de son Seigneur. Le bétail, sauf ce qu'on vous a cité, vous a été rendu licite. Abstenez-vous de la souillure des idoles et abstenez-vous des paroles mensongères.
