36.31
أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ
English: Sahih International
Have they not considered how many generations We destroyed before them - that they to them will not return?
English: Transliteration
Alam yaraw kam ahlakna qablahum mina alqurooni annahum ilayhim la yarjiAAoona
French: Hamidullah
Ne voient-ils pas combien de générations avant eux Nous avons fait périr? Lesquelles ne retourneront jamais parmi eux.
36.32
وَإِن كُلٌّ لَّمَّا جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ
English: Sahih International
And indeed, all of them will yet be brought present before Us.
English: Transliteration
Wain kullun lamma jameeAAun ladayna muhdaroona
French: Hamidullah
Et tous sans exception comparaîtront devant Nous.
36.33
وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ ٱلْمَيْتَةُ أَحْيَيْنَٰهَا وَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهَا حَبًّا فَمِنْهُ يَأْكُلُونَ
English: Sahih International
And a sign for them is the dead earth. We have brought it to life and brought forth from it grain, and from it they eat.
English: Transliteration
Waayatun lahumu alardu almaytatu ahyaynaha waakhrajna minha habban faminhu yakuloona
French: Hamidullah
Une preuve pour eux est la terre morte, à laquelle Nous redonnons la vie, et d'où Nous faisons sortir des grains dont ils mangent.
36.34
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا جَنَّٰتٍ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَٰبٍ وَفَجَّرْنَا فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْعُيُونِ
English: Sahih International
And We placed therein gardens of palm trees and grapevines and caused to burst forth therefrom some springs -
English: Transliteration
WajaAAalna feeha jannatin min nakheelin waaAAnabin wafajjarna feeha mina alAAuyooni
French: Hamidullah
Nous y avons mis des jardins de palmiers et de vignes et y avons fait jaillir des sources,
36.35
لِيَأْكُلُوا۟ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ
English: Sahih International
That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful?
English: Transliteration
Liyakuloo min thamarihi wama AAamilathu aydeehim afala yashkuroona
French: Hamidullah
afin qu'ils mangent de Ses fruits et de ce que leurs mains ont produit. Ne seront-ils pas reconnaissants?
36.36
سُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنۢبِتُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
English: Sahih International
Exalted is He who created all pairs - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know.
English: Transliteration
Subhana allathee khalaqa alazwaja kullaha mimma tunbitu alardu wamin anfusihim wamimma la yaAAlamoona
French: Hamidullah
Louange à Celui qui a créé tous les couples de ce que la terre fait pousser, d'eux-mêmes, et de ce qu'ils ne savent pas!
36.37
وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمُ ٱلَّيْلُ نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فَإِذَا هُم مُّظْلِمُونَ
English: Sahih International
And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness.
English: Transliteration
Waayatun lahumu allaylu naslakhu minhu alnnahara faitha hum muthlimoona
French: Hamidullah
Et une preuve pour eux est la nuit. Nous en écorchons le jour et ils sont alors dans les ténèbres.
36.38
وَٱلشَّمْسُ تَجْرِى لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَّهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ
English: Sahih International
And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.
English: Transliteration
Waalshshamsu tajree limustaqarrin laha thalika taqdeeru alAAazeezi alAAaleemi
French: Hamidullah
et le soleil court vers un gîte qui lui est assigné; telle est la détermination du Tout Puissant, de l'Omniscient.
36.39
وَٱلْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَٰهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّىٰ عَادَ كَٱلْعُرْجُونِ ٱلْقَدِيمِ
English: Sahih International
And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk.
English: Transliteration
Waalqamara qaddarnahu manazila hatta AAada kaalAAurjooni alqadeemi
French: Hamidullah
Et la lune, Nous lui avons déterminé des phases jusqu'à ce qu'elle devienne comme la palme vieillie.
36.40
لَا ٱلشَّمْسُ يَنۢبَغِى لَهَآ أَن تُدْرِكَ ٱلْقَمَرَ وَلَا ٱلَّيْلُ سَابِقُ ٱلنَّهَارِ ۚ وَكُلٌّ فِى فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ
English: Sahih International
It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming.
English: Transliteration
La alshshamsu yanbaghee laha an tudrika alqamara wala allaylu sabiqu alnnahari wakullun fee falakin yasbahoona
French: Hamidullah
Le soleil ne peut rattraper la lune, ni la nuit devancer le jour; et chacun vogue dans une orbite.
