47.21   

English: Sahih International
Obedience and good words. And when the matter [of fighting] was determined, if they had been true to Allah, it would have been better for them.

English: Transliteration
TaAAatun waqawlun maAAroofun faitha AAazama alamru falaw sadaqoo Allaha lakana khayran lahum

French: Hamidullah
une obéissance et une parole convenable. Puis, quand l'affaire est décidée, il serait mieux pour eux certes, de se montrer sincères vis-à-vis d'Allah.




47.22   

English: Sahih International
So would you perhaps, if you turned away, cause corruption on earth and sever your [ties of] relationship?

English: Transliteration
Fahal AAasaytum in tawallaytum an tufsidoo fee alardi watuqattiAAoo arhamakum

French: Hamidullah
Si vous vous détournez, ne risquez-vous pas de semer la corruption sur terre et de rompre vos liens de parenté?




47.23   

English: Sahih International
Those [who do so] are the ones that Allah has cursed, so He deafened them and blinded their vision.

English: Transliteration
Olaika allatheena laAAanahumu Allahu faasammahum waaAAma absarahum

French: Hamidullah
Ce sont ceux-là qu'Allah a maudits, a rendus sourds et a rendu leurs yeux aveugles.




47.24   

English: Sahih International
Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an, or are there locks upon [their] hearts?

English: Transliteration
Afala yatadabbaroona alqurana am AAala quloobin aqfaluha

French: Hamidullah
Ne méditent-ils pas sur le Coran? Ou y a-t-il des cadenas sur leurs cœurs?




47.25   

English: Sahih International
Indeed, those who reverted back [to disbelief] after guidance had become clear to them - Satan enticed them and prolonged hope for them.

English: Transliteration
Inna allatheena irtaddoo AAala adbarihim min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahumu alhuda alshshaytanu sawwala lahum waamla lahum

French: Hamidullah
Ceux qui sont revenus sur leurs pas après que le droit chemin leur a été clairement exposé, le Diable les a séduits et trompés.




47.26   

English: Sahih International
That is because they said to those who disliked what Allah sent down, "We will obey you in part of the matter." And Allah knows what they conceal.

English: Transliteration
Thalika biannahum qaloo lillatheena karihoo ma nazzala Allahu sanuteeAAukum fee baAAdi alamri waAllahu yaAAlamu israrahum

French: Hamidullah
C'est parce qu'ils ont dit à ceux qui ont de la répulsion pour la révélation d'Allah: «Nous allons vous obéir dans certaines choses». Allah cependant connaît ce qu'ils cachent.




47.27   

English: Sahih International
Then how [will it be] when the angels take them in death, striking their faces and their backs?

English: Transliteration
Fakayfa itha tawaffathumu almalaikatu yadriboona wujoohahum waadbarahum

French: Hamidullah
Qu'adviendra-t-il d'eux quand les Anges les achèveront, frappant leurs faces et leurs dos?




47.28   

English: Sahih International
That is because they followed what angered Allah and disliked [what earns] His pleasure, so He rendered worthless their deeds.

English: Transliteration
Thalika biannahumu ittabaAAoo ma askhata Allaha wakarihoo ridwanahu faahbata aAAmalahum

French: Hamidullah
Cela parce qu'ils ont suivi ce qui courrouce Allah, et qu'ils ont de la répulsion pour [ce qui attire] Son agrément. Il a donc rendu vaines leurs œuvres.




47.29   

English: Sahih International
Or do those in whose hearts is disease think that Allah would never expose their [feelings of] hatred?

English: Transliteration
Am hasiba allatheena fee quloobihim maradun an lan yukhrija Allahu adghanahum

French: Hamidullah
Ou bien est-ce que ceux qui ont une maladie au cœur escomptent qu'Allah ne saura jamais faire apparaître leur haine?




47.30   

English: Sahih International
And if We willed, We could show them to you, and you would know them by their mark; but you will surely know them by the tone of [their] speech. And Allah knows your deeds.

English: Transliteration
Walaw nashao laaraynakahum falaAAaraftahum biseemahum walataAArifannahum fee lahni alqawli waAllahu yaAAlamu aAAmalakum

French: Hamidullah
Or, si Nous voulions Nous te les montrerions. Tu les reconnaîtrais certes à leurs traits; et tu les reconnaîtrais très certainement au ton de leur parler. Et Allah connaît bien vos actions.
